Varieties of water filters

A water filter is a device designed to purify water from harmful substances or microorganisms.

An aquarium filter is a device designed to purify aquarium water.

Pond filter - a device designed to purify water in artificial reservoirs (ponds, streams, waterfalls, garden aquariums). Pond filters provide mechanical, biological and chemical water filtration.

Oil filter - a device designed to remove contaminants from motor, transmission, lubricating oils and hydraulic fluids.

Fuel filter - a device designed to screen out dust and rust particles to prevent them from entering the fuel line and combustion chamber.

Fuel filter-separator is a device designed to purify fuel from moisture and heavy compounds (for example, paraffins).

A filter press is a batch apparatus designed to separate under pressure liquid inhomogeneous systems (suspensions, pulps) into a liquid phase (filtrate) and a solid phase (sediment, cake).

Gas filters

Air filter - an element (paper, cloth, felt, foam rubber, mesh or other), which is used to remove dust (treatment) of the air supplied to the premises by ventilation and air conditioning systems or used in technological processes (for example, when oxygen is produced), in gas turbines, internal combustion engines, etc.

Bag filter is a filter used for fine (20 mg/m3 and below) industrial cleaning of flue gases in various industries to reduce NO2, SO2 and dust emissions into the atmosphere.

Electrostatic filter is a filter used for basic (30 - 50 mg/m3 and above) industrial flue gas cleaning in various industries to reduce NO2, SO2 and dust emissions into the atmosphere.

Cigarette filter - a filter used in cigarettes to reduce the amount of tar inhaled by the smoker.

Gas filter is a filter used in the chemical industry to purify process gases from mechanical impurities.

HEPA is a fine air filter.
